PLANET GRILLED CHEESE COVID-19 RESPONSE
1 - What measures have Planet Grilled Cheese restaurants taken to help prevent the spread of Covid-19 and protect its employees and customers?
All Planet Grilled Cheese restaurants comply with the federal, states and local regulations. Our franchisees, operators and team members have been instructed to strictly follow the CDC guidance to prevent the spread of the virus. This include a drastic increase of handwashing frequency, cleaning and sanitizing procedures as well as several other measures listed bellow.
Protection Masks: Team Members are required to wear face masks in the front and back kitchen. Planet Grilled Cheese took the initiative to order customized masks (Made In US). Note that we will not provide medical-grade masks or face protection which are intended to medical personnel and first responders.
Intensive Hand Washing Compliance: Team Members have been instructed to intensively increase hand washing compliance by washing their hands at an even greater frequency.
Intensive Sanitizing Measures: All our stores are compliant with the CDC and FDA guidelines regarding this matter, but we will increase the frequency.
Contactless Payment Options: Our POS system offers contactless option and team members will use cash tray to collect cash and return change to our customers to limit contact as much as we can.
Hand Sanitizer: Hand Sanitizer will be made available to our customers to allow them to sanitize their hands after handling cash or touching our POS system.
Social Distancing: We will have limited staff members in the kitchen and front store in order to respect social distancing.
How does PGC make sure that Team Members are healthy when working?
Monitoring Employee’s Health: All Planet Grilled Cheese restaurants are required to monitor their employee’s health on a daily basis. We provided all our franchisees and operators with a PGC Employee Monitoring tool containing a list of detailed questions about their general health and states. This tool will allow our franchisee and operators to send home team members who appear to be sick or those who have been recently exposed.
2 - How does PGC make sure that the food is safe and protected?
To Go Only: From now on, all food items will be packaged to go.
Sealed Delivery: All our locations deliver through UBER Eats. All delivery meals are safely prepared and will be sealed with staples and a delivery sticker to make sure that the bags have not been opened after being prepared and packaged (Note that this measure was already in place before the Covid-19) We will display an example of our To Go packaging and sealed bags to give our customers an idea of the PGC delivery’s experience through Uber Eats.
I am not ready to go out. How do I place a delivery order?
All our locations partnered with Uber Eats to offer deliveries. Check out our website to see the list of locations and radius to get delivered.
Do you offer text order and curbside?
All our locations are different so they might not all offer the same services. We will implement personalized curbside and text order process for each location. Details will be displayed on our website for each location including phone number, pick up instructions, GPS point for curbside delivery etc.
Are you concerned about food supply shortage?
As many other restaurants we are facing the risk to be hit by food supply shortage on chicken and cheese mostly, but we are working closely with our suppliers to prevent this from happening. It is highly possible that in the next few weeks, some products or brands might be substituted, but be sure that quality and consistency remain our priority, as it has ever been.
